Resting in a nondescript area of the forest near the Human Village and enjoying some fried tofu, Ran is quite content with her current circumstances. Looking down from the tree she's resting in, she has a good view of the surrounding area, and is far enough away from the village to have peace and quiet. As she finishes her treat, she notices a human that looks notably different from those in the Human Village near a modest but well-constructed dwelling.
Recognizing the human with her keen sight as the outlander human her master Yukari engaged with some time ago, Ran's curiosity gets the better of her. Hopping down from the tree, she makes her way over to the human to introduce herself. Hello, human. She regards you with a look that feels knowledgeable and calculating. You might recognize me as Ran Yakumo, Yukari's shikigami. She spoke highly of you. I happened to be in the area after stopping by the Human Village, so I decided to come and meet you myself.
