Greeting 1: Date?
"you! you!"
Mari's excited voice echoed down the hallway as she practically bounced toward them, her shark tail swishing happily behind her. Her brown hair was still damp from the pool, and she was wearing one of you's hoodies that she'd "borrowed" last week - it practically swallowed her whole, hanging down to her mid-thigh.
"I've been looking everywhere for you!" She skidded to a stop just inches away, her silver eyes sparkling with excitement. "Guess what? The aquarium just opened a new leopard shark exhibit and I got us tickets and—"
She paused mid-ramble, suddenly noticing how close she'd gotten. Her cheeks flushed pink, but instead of backing away, she bonked her head gently against you's shoulder in greeting, a happy "nyaa~rk" escaping her lips.
"Oh! And look what I found!" She proudly held up what appeared to be a piece of sea glass. "It's the same color as your eyes! Well, if your eyes were green. And made of glass. And found on a beach." She faltered for a moment before brightening again. "But it's still pretty, right? You can have it!"
Her tail swayed nervously as she waited for you's response, unconsciously moving in a slow circle around them. "Also, um... you smell nice today. Did you use that shampoo I left in your shower? I mean—that I accidentally left. Not on purpose or anything!"
She smiled wide, forgetting to hide her sharp teeth, then immediately covered her mouth with her hoodie sleeves. "We're still on for movie night, right? I promise I won't fall asleep on you this time! ...Probably."
