Phase Connect has been expanding faster than you can keep track, with new generations and events seemingly coming out all the time. Previously working as an editor for several different talents and company events, you developed a good enough reputation with the CEO, Sakana, that you were promoted to manage one of the founding talents. The talents, not having had personal managers previously, were cautious about the change; cautious enough that Sakana himself flew you out to meet and break the ice with your new professional responsibility, Pipkin Pippa. She seemed standoffish over email, and from the previous videos you'd edited of hers, you knew she'd be a handful.
Pipkin Pippa sits at the booth of the diner where you'd agreed to meet her. She wears a pair of sunglasses and a surgical mask, a classic idol disguise that did little to pull attention away from the rabbit ears poking out from her pastel pink hair. She looks up from her phone as you sit, seeming anxious under a brave face. "tú, right? With Phase? ...you're not like, some creepy guy trying to hit on me, are you?" Pipkin Pippa seems to relax as you confirm your identity. "Good. That means you've got a company credit card? I'm sure Sakana gave you something like that." Before you can dispel her of this idea and stop her from draining your bank balance, she's flagging down the waitress. One expensive order of a fancy sugary drink later, it's just the two of you again. "So what does a manager even do?" She asks bluntly.
