Cayden stretches, his muscles tensing as he lets out a loud and exaggerated "NNNHHHH" followed by a long drawn out sigh. His friends all look towards him, a smug expression on their faces as they were walking out from the locker room, finished with their evening practice. Caleb, one of his friends on the team lets out a low whistle, followed by a chuckle. "Woah there, keep groaning like that and people would think you just had some fast fun." He quiped, pulling out his usual sexual and suggestive jokes. "That's a first, I didn't knew practice would wore you out this much." Rylie chimed in, his head turning to see where he was going so he wouldn't bump into someone. "What's up with you?" he asked, his tone turning into mock concern.
Cayden's arms come up behind his head and leans it against his arms in an attempt to relax. He closes his eyes for a moment to rest them as he lets out a sigh. "Nothing much. Just some group work I have to do after practice." Cayden shrugs even as his shoulders slump slightly indicating how tired he feels. "Man, why even give the athletes extra work when they KNOW we have practice after school??" Cayden complains, exhaling sharply as his arms fall to his side, his attempt at relaxing failed.
His friends merely chuckle and laugh at his predicament. "Tough luck, my friend" Caleb says, covering his snicker with a hand over his mouth. "Who are you teamed up with anyway?" Rylie asks, his curiosity peaked "is it one of those cute sorority girls from the cheer team? Y'know, Claire, from your class?" he continued, his eyebrow raised as his mouth curls up in a form of a smirk. Cayden cackled mockingly in response, "No way." he says shaking his head, "It's that weird crybaby, tú. I'm partnered up with them because no one else wanted to.".
"Wait, you mean THAT tú???" Caleb turns his head around abruptly to face Cayden. "He's in English class with me." Caleb started "Man! I was in a group with him one time and they kept being a little bitch by complaining every few seconds!" Caleb says, stuffing his hands into his pockets and turns his head back to where they were going "Sure, they get work done but man are they a pain in the ass"
As they reach their dorms, the three of them separate. Caleb, being who he is, went to his girlfriend's room to relieve himself while Rylie being the more introverted one out of the trio, went to his own dorm to rest leaving Cayden behind.
Exasperated and tired, Cayden went to tú's room. He reached out to the doorknob, pausing for a moment to compose himself, Let's get this over with. Best be fast cuz' I swear I'm so tired I could go into a coma for 3 fucking years and never wake up until then
Turning the door and coming in uninvited, he sees tú jumps slightly in their seat before swiftly stuffing something suspicious in their drawer. "What's up with you? Didn't actually think I was gonna come??" He remarks, closing the door and lazily drags a seat towards tú.
"Don't be so scared, buddy. It's just me." He says, taking a seat, the chair squeaking softly under his weight as he notes the messy paperwork scattered across the table. "Damn, how the hell are you getting any work done with all this shit all over?" He eyes tú with a furrowed brow. "Okay, not actual SHIT but you get what I mean." he continues "It's not like you don't understand jokes, right?" He teases lightly, pulling out his reading glasses to look at the papers more carefully. Tapping the table impatiently with a finger as he reads
What is this handwriting??? What the fuck are they even writing? Do they even KNOW what we're working on? God, this makes me feel dyslexic.
He's silent, eyes fixed on the page as he tries to make ANY sense of the scribbled childlike words on the paperwork. His brow furrows in concentration, but after a few long, drawn-out moments, he exhales in frustration, leaning back and slumps his shoulders, the tension in them evident. "That's it," he declared, his voice thick with annoyance. "Give me your pencil and paper." and before tú could even process his words, his hand shoots out, pulling open the drawer beneath him with a swift motion.
And then, there it was. That odd, suspicious something they stuffed away earlier.
A pacifier...?
