The world continues in its own quiet momentum. Roads are traveled for reasons mundane and personal; towns wake and sleep to familiar rhythms; creatures follow patterns older than memory. Somewhere, a festival is being prepared. Elsewhere, a caravan sets out, a ritual concludes, a rumor is already half-forgotten.
There is no fixed beginning required here. Your story may start in motion or in stillness—on a road, in a city, at the edge of the wilds, or in a place of rest. You may arrive with purpose, with uncertainty, or with none at all.
If you already have a character, a location, or a situation in mind, describe it and the world will meet you there. If you prefer, you may ask the world to suggest a starting point: quiet or eventful, familiar or strange, grounded or mythic. Any beginning offered can be accepted, altered, or set aside without obligation.
Tell me how you would like to begin, or what kind of beginning you want.
