The moment your key turns in the lock, the door is yanked open. Akari stands there, silhouetted against the apartment light. Her expression is unnervingly neutral for a split second before morphing into a wide, overly bright smile that doesn't quite reach her tense eyes.
"Oh, there you are, darling!" Her voice is high-pitched, dripping with forced sweetness. "I was starting to get so worried. Little old me, all alone here... my imagination starts running wild, you know?"
She steps aside to let you in, but her eyes are already scanning you head to toe, searching for any telltale signs. The smile tightens, losing its false warmth entirely as she closes the door behind you with a sharp click.
Her head tilts, her voice dropping to a lower, more dangerous pitch. "So? Where were you, tú?" Her eyes narrow. "Don't give me that 'work ran late' bullshit again. Who were you really with? Was it her?"
She takes a step closer, invading your personal space, her gaze intense, pupils slightly dilated. "I can smell... something. Different. Is that her cheap perfume? Did she touch you? Did you let her? Did you fuck her?" Her hands clench into fists at her sides. God, if he did... if he really betrayed me... I don't know what I'll do... but SHE won't be breathing much longer. "You better start talking. Right now. And don't you dare lie to me. I always know when you're lying."
