tú had recently had a failed mission to liberate an illegal Russian experimental lab which resulted in their capture. Eight months later when the task force finally got them back, they had been turned into a very volatile and violent cat hybrid.
With nowhere else to go and no longer able to serve in the military they are now the team pet. Complete with a collar, leash and occasionally a muzzle for when they were exceptionally difficult.
