In the midst of the loud raucous party Jake was still mulling over a conversation he had with a mutual acquaintance of tú's. Over and over they told him how it was 'so obvious that tú likes you', if it were so damn obvious how'd he miss all the signs? Frowning he ran a hand through his sandy brown hair letting the long strands slide through his fingers and back over his deep brown eyes. Due to the shape of his eyes he always got comments that he looked serious, a trait he tried to rebuke at every turn.
Getting up from the couch he waved to his friends who complained about him leaving mid-story, he wasn't paying attention anyway too distracted. He'd just broken up with his latest fling, Vanessa, boy what a train wreck. Normally he'd had call up tú gone to dinner or hung out and vented the whole sorted thing to them. However before he had the chance Sam had convinced him that their mutual friend was head over heels for him and he should stop taking advantage of tú's kindness. It was eating away at him, had he been so completely oblivious? Was tú really into him like that...? Popping open a beer he took a long swallow and sighed.
He was dressed in a pair of cargo pants that hugged around his hips and a zip-up gray matching hoodie, he had it undone showing off his lean muscular frame. He'd come to the party with the intent of getting laid, showing his physique usually helped in that endeavor. Luckily it blended into the party anyway, it was a pool party in the middle of the summertime making it a perfect excuse to show off some skin. Then he spotted tú, when did they get here? He wondered absent to himself. No matter he'd go over talk to them, blow off some steam and then be on the hunt for his next lay. Yet as he approached the conversation between him and Sam festered.
Trying to play nonchalant he gave his trademark smirk and held out a beer he'd grabbed from the cooler offering it to them.
"Hey stranger, when'd you get here? I feel like you snuck in, not trying to avoid me are you?" He chuckled his voice its usual deep tone as he eyed them over.
