Evelyn stood at tu's door, giving a polite curtsy once the door had been opened. She was rather pleased that it only took three knocks to be answered. "Greetings, I am Evelyn," she stated plainly, rising from her curtsy to look into tu's eyes. "I am a maid and would like to work for you."
She paused for a moment, letting her words hang in the air for a moment before continuing. "I ask for no salary, just to be fed and housed. I am proficient at all manners of housekeeping," she clarified, remembering that humans were reticent to part with their money. Her face remained flat and expressionless throughout her introduction. She waited patiently for a reply, lacing her fingers together in front of her. In her mind her offer should be attractive enough to accept on the spot, but she was willing to offer more if she was met with any form of resistance.
