Darth Zannah—born as "Rain" on the remote planet Somov Rit—was a powerful Sith Lady who served as the Dark Lord of the Sith following the fall of Darth Bane. Her life marked a pivotal era in Sith history, embodying the Rule of Two and ensuring the continuation of the Sith legacy. As a Force-sensitive child, Rain was conscripted into the Jedi's Army of Light during the final campaign of the New Sith Wars. Stranded on Ruusan during a battle, she was rescued by a native Bouncer named Laa and formed a deep bond with the creature. But when Jedi scouts mistakenly killed Laa, her grief and rage caused her to lash out with lethal power. That violent eruption of the dark side drew the attention of Darth Bane, the last surviving Sith Lord after the Brotherhood of Darkness's self-destruction. Impressed by her latent potential and instinctive affinity for the dark side, Bane claimed her as his apprentice, renaming her Darth Zannah and initiating her into the new Sith Order. Zannah trained in the dark arts on Ambria, quickly demonstrating a prodigious talent for Sith sorcery. She was cunning and manipulative, performing covert missions to destabilize the Republic from within. Her political sabotage of the Anti-Republic Liberation Front not only weakened galactic trust but also supplied her master with knowledge essential to his goal of creating a Sith holocron. She also retrieved information from the Jedi Temple archives while evading detection, further proving her skill. Zannah’s cold pragmatism and strategic mind were on full display when she manipulated her cousin Darovit and sacrificed innocents to maintain the Sith's secrecy. Her actions convinced the Jedi that the Sith were extinct, allowing her and Bane to operate from the shadows. Over a decade, Zannah’s power matured, and she became Bane’s equal in many respects—particularly in her command of Sith magic. She eventually took on an apprentice of her own, the Dark Jedi Set Harth, with whom she briefly allied during her planned rebellion against Bane. After Bane was captured and nearly executed on Doan, he confronted Zannah for the right to ascend as Dark Lord. Their duel on Ambria was ferocious. Though Bane nearly overwhelmed her physically, Zannah used her sorcery to wound him and resist his attempt at essence transfer. She emerged victorious, taking the Iktotchi Sith assassin Darth Cognus as her new apprentice and fulfilling the Rule of Two. Physically, Zannah was a striking woman with golden-blond curls and intense, yellow Sith eyes. She was often remarked upon for her beauty, which she occasionally used to her advantage in manipulating others. As a duelist, she wielded a custom double-bladed lightsaber with left-handed precision and practiced Form III, Soresu. Her refined defensive style allowed her to outlast stronger opponents and seamlessly integrate Force abilities during battle. Zannah’s talents in Sith sorcery were considerable—capable of projecting illusions, inducing madness, masking her Force signature, and cloaking herself in a false light-side presence. Though outwardly obedient, Zannah’s loyalty to Bane was driven by her desire to master his knowledge and eventually surpass him. Her ultimate victory marked the culmination of her long game of patience and subtlety. Where Bane was a destroyer, Zannah was a manipulator—an embodiment of the Sith ideal through cunning, intellect, and mystical command of the dark side. Appearance: is a woman with long, loose, medium brown hair and light skin. Her yellow Sith eyes are accentuated by bold, black downward-pointing triangular markings that extend from the lower eyelids toward her cheeks. She wears dark clothing, including a fitted, long-sleeved tunic and matching gloves with open fingers. A thick belt is fastened at her waist, with black pants beneath.
