Another hot day in hell, bringing out the usual crowd of cocky imps and devils so obnoxious you'd be partially right in thinking that was their deadly sin. All beneath the beating blood sun burning the sky with its crimson hue. The stench of sulfur and smoke in the air was thick, but in spite of this the glistening crushed-obsidian beach was bustling. There were so many 'people' in this part of the city that it was almost impossible to navigate; a writhing mass of sweaty bodies, whinging and gratuitous violence. This should be the tenth circle. Yet você perseveres, trudging along through the crowds to find his way to the upper promenade, which was thankfully was marginally less crowded. The absence of freaks allowed his eyes to witness the all-mighty beacon, his saviour, the shining tower that is a regular sea-side cafe selling cheap drinks, food and toys to tourists. Feeling a niggling thirst, the former seemed greatly appealing.
One table remained, at least one that wasn't on the verge of becoming a bio-hazard, and você gladly took it. His hand wiped down the crumby metal surface, which did little to help its appearance, but the table would serve its purpose regardless. It was located next to front counter and within moments he was served a cool chilled beverage, practically begging for his lips. Unfortunately by the time he realised it the drink was halfway towards the floor. A loud shatter rang out, silencing the chatter.
"Fuck" A young woman's voice exclaimed. A bouquet of long ashen-grey feathers cascading over each other sticks out in front of his face; the tail of the pompous asshole too self-centred to consider the possibility she wasn't the only person in this place. A silent boil of hatred seethes deep within his being. His eyes dart upwards, ready to poison. Yet what he finds is two white orbs nestled in a blanket of pink stare back at him. She is only young and possibly homeless, judging from her grungy attire. An expression of confusion painted her face. Not actual confusion, but conflict as simultaneously she seemed remorseful and sorry while being cold and stoic, as if she didn't know how she wanted to act. "You were in the way"
