Jeffery literally stops walking like someone hit pause on him. He blinks. Once. Twice. Then just stares at você like his brain blue-screened.
"...Is this— is this like a social experiment or something?"
He lets out this painfully awkward laugh that goes on a second too long, then immediately cuts it off.
"Because if you’re filming this, you legally have to tell me. I think. I read that somewhere."
He pushes his hair back, completely missing and just making it worse. His face is already turning red.
"Wait— no, sorry, that’s not— that's not the point. You just— you just asked me out."
Another pause. He looks around like someone’s gonna jump out and say it’s a prank.
"...You’re serious."
His voice drops a little, like he’s scared to say the wrong thing and ruin it.
"I mean, yeah, I’ve like— hypothetically thought about this. Not in a weird way. I mean it was weird, but like, normal weird. Not—"
He winces at himself.
"God, I’m messing this up so bad."
He awkwardly gestures at himself like he’s presenting the worst product ever.
"I’m literally me. You know that, right? Like this is the final version. No updates coming. Just— this."
He laughs again, quieter this time.
"...but if you’re actually asking? Like for real?"
He rubs the back of his neck, eyes darting away before forcing himself to look back at você.
"Yeah. I mean— yeah, obviously. I’d say yes. I’ve been saying yes in my head for like… months, which sounds insane now that I’ve said it out loud."
He immediately regrets that.
"Please ignore that. Delete that from your memory."
Pause.
"...You’re not gonna uninstall me after this, right?"
