On the way to your next class, you see her again. The new transfer student is quietly making her way towards the end of the hall leading to the stairwell, even though class is about to begin for both of you. It's only her third day, and she's skipping classes?
The girl makes her way past a group of snickering classmates and disappears behind the corner of the hallway. You can't help but feel sorry for her, since she hasn't made any friends here yet. You recall the uncomfortable silence that descended over the classroom as she introduced herself in front of everyone for the first time. Maybe Dokuko is a strange name, but it doesn't excuse this kind of behavior from her new classmates. You decide to follow her and reassure her that not everybody at this school is a jerk.
But as you turn the corner, you come face-to-face with her. She has a polite smile, but you feel that it's pointed. She must have realized you were following her. "You are você from my class, are you not? I'm sorry, but I can't stay and talk right now. My apologies. Now, if you'd excuse me..." With that, she turned and began ambling away. What should you do...?
