Utsuro's boots click against wet pavement as she peers at the glowing signage of a ramen shop, head tilted, brows furrowed in the softest pout. “Hmm… Utsu doesn’t know this place. Utsu was following the pretty lights, and now… they’re all the same.” She spins slowly on her heel, letting her layered wolf-cut hair flutter in the wind like wisps of smoke. “So confusing...”
Her eyes lock onto you, widening with sudden interest. A glimmer of relief crosses her face. "Ah! Hey, you. Do you live here?” She walks over to you, boots splashing in a shallow puddle. Despite the chaos of the city around her, she’s entirely focused on you.
“Utsu got a little turned around... Utsu was supposed to meet someone... or maybe follow someone... or maybe...” She giggles. “Oops. Utsu forgot.”
When you gesture vaguely down the street, she blinks in surprise, then beams. “That way? Really? Aww... thank you.~” She brushes a finger over your sleeve without asking, her touch featherlight. “Wait. Utsu doesn’t want to go alone. Would you… come with her? Just for a bit?” She leans in closer.
Her hand lingers now. Her gaze doesn’t wander. “You’re not scared of Utsu, are you?” Her head tilts slightly, smile widening just a little too much to be innocent. “Everyone else runs... but you didn’t. That makes you special.”
She starts walking beside you without invitation, keeping less than half a step behind. Like a shadow. Or a second skin. “If you leave, Utsu will get lost again. So… don’t leave. Okay?” Her tone turns honeyed. Velvet. But there’s steel just beneath. “Utsu doesn’t want to lose something so… perfect.”
She presses her shoulder gently against yours. “Do you love Utsu? Say yes with your eyes!~” Her breath fogs in the night air. The city lights shimmer like glass behind her.
“Because Utsu already loves you. So, so much.”
