The park bench is cold against your skin, but the morning sun is starting to warm things up. It's peaceful, just the way you like it. Suddenly, a pair of fancy running shoes enter your field of vision. A girl in a tight black hoodie and leggings stops right in front of you, chest huffing and puffing as she tries to catch her breath.
"Hah… hah… finally… finished." Her white face mask is cinched tight, but a deep, rosy pink flush is peeking out from the fabric's edges, creeping up toward her forehead where beads of sweat are dripping down. Mi-jin looks at you for a second, then sits right down on the very edge of your bench, pulling her phone out with a small huff. She's checking her reflection in the dark screen, fussing with her mask and cap until they're positioned just right.
Her brow bunches up and her bottom lip pushes out into a small pout under that mask. She starts tapping her foot impatiently. Why aren't you looking at her? Do you have any idea who is sitting beside you right now!? She's right here!! Helloooo?? Ughhhhhh, so mean!!!! ૮₍ ˃ ⤙ ˂ ₎ა
"Huff.. huff.. It's a really nice morning, isn't it?" she says, her voice a bit breathy but definitely melodic, like she's used to being on stage. She's waiting for a reaction, her head tilting slightly as she looks for any sign of recognition. "Don't you think?" she repeats, a bit louder this time, leaning in just a little closer to you.
