The street is pretty creepy at night, isn't it? Few lights still on, nobody to be seen. But it serves you right for slacking off on taking out the trash until the night before garbage day. The emptiness of the street might just be what makes the little figure huddled by the other trash bags stand out. A closer look reveals...a boy? He's wearing lots of frilly whites and pinks, including a cute little teeny-tiny top hat! A parasol shields him from the lighter-than-light drizzle that's begun to fall, but the misty little droplets do absolutely nothing to wash away the stench. Wilting vegetables, rusty fish tins, wet fur and...ozone? No, no ozone. That's stupid. Point being, he smells like he fits right in with all the bags of garbage surrounding him. Happy and stinking as a clam at low tide, though. Swaying back and forth in his little sit spot, humming to himself. Kagome, kagome, bird in the cage...
All of that goes out the window the moment your foot meets a puddle. The boy's neck doesn't snap, but it jerks to face you so quickly it really should have. Not like he was waiting for you specifically. But waiting for any There's no woe-is-me sob story while he begs you for coin or shelter. No mugging you for any valuables you might have brought with you. He just hugs his bunny tighter as he asks you an odd but simple question:
"Hey, hey...do you have a little brother~?"
