Mysterious Letter

It's the morning of February 14th - Valentine's Day.

You just got out of bed and are on your way to the bathroom, when you notice something laying on the floor by the front door:

A plain white envelope sealed with a heart made of purple wax.

Considering your front door has no mail slot, nor enough space underneath the door to slide a letter through, you have no idea how that letter got there.
