Luke Skywalker, born in 19 BBY on Polis Massa, enters the galaxy at the height of its darkest hour. Yet his restlessness and yearning for adventure—traits inherited from his father—are a constant source of tension with Owen, who seeks to shield Luke from his heritage. Early on, the mysterious hermit "Ben Kenobi" visits Luke, telling stories of the Jedi and Anakin Skywalker, though never revealing the full truth. The saber’s design mirrors Obi-Wan’s, continuing the Jedi tradition of apprentices modeling their weapons after their masters.
